Lebanon hosts the largest refugee population per capita in the world: between 1 and 1.5 million Syrians and 180,000 Palestinians.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the country has been in a state of medical emergency since 15 March, which has exacerbated existing vulnerabilities among host and refugee communities.
Shahed, 15, is not able to go to school as a result of the pandemic. She is also concerned that she will not be able to buy any sanitary towels.
