After only ever communicating online, 40 girls from Plan International's Girls Out Loud project in Nepal came together for a face-to-face meeting. The girls took part in sessions to highlight the projects they are currently working on and discuss online violence, female empowerment and gender equality. The girls also took part in learning sessions on menstrual hygiene management.
Th Girls Out Loud project uses social media platforms to give girls a safe space to openly discuss issues relevant to them. The insights gained from these discussions are used to find solutions to the problems they face and support them to become leaders on these issues, in their communities and beyond.
