Caption
Bangladesh is one of the hungriest places on earth. 11 million people are suffering from acute hunger and 40 million people remain food insecure according to the World Food Programme. To help their families bring in a wage, teenage girls are dropping out of school leaving them at heightened risk of child, early and forced marriage, and teenage pregnancy.
Our programmes reach girls and their families with food, cash, child protection, and support them back into education. But thousands of girls are still
out of school, rather than pursuing their dreams. If we wait until things get worse, it may be too late. Acting early saves lives. The time to act is now.
