Caption
Somalia is one of the hungriest places on earth. Half of children are threatened by the hunger crisis there, according to the UN and malnutrition has reached crisis levels. The UN warns that 4.1 million people - a quarter of the Somali population - need urgent food aid right now.
The crisis means teenage girls are fast dropping out of school, rather than pursuing their dreams. Our programmes reach girls and their families with food, cash, child protection, and support them back into education. If we wait until things get worse, it may be too late. The time to act is now.
