The world is in the midst of a devastating food crisis. Across the globe, in countries such as South Sudan, decades of widespread conflict, destruction and displacement mean the country faces a humanitarian emergency. 18-year-old Adeng lives under constant threat of attack. “Our enemies are always attacking us. We really suffer a lot. We are always on the run. They kidnap our people, mostly women and children. Now our area is empty. We lost all our food during the floods, now we face hunger.”
The Hungriest Places on Earth is a creative comms project showcasing individual girls’ voices from corners of the world directly affected by the hunger crisis. By taking stories from each country affected by hunger, we present a globalised view of the hunger crisis across all regions of the world, as well as showing how Plan International is responding.
